Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
I am regarded as a highly respected practising Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the Auckland region. Born and raised in New Zealand, I graduated from Auckland University School of Medicine in 1981. I have been a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) since 1986 and was invited to become a Fellow of the RCOG in 2002.
I spent ten years practising in fetal medicine in the United Kingdom before returning to New Zealand to set up private practice as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Auckland in 1994. Practicing as a consultant and operating surgeon I conduct general gynaecological procedures. For more details please refer to the Operative Procedures page.

A significant element of my practice is in the area of Obstetric Care. About two-thirds of mothers deliver their babies naturally under my care and one-third of the babies are delivered by caesarean section. I offer full Obstetric care in a personalised way and provide my expert medical care throughout your pregnancy and during the delivery of your baby as a Lead Maternity Carer (LMC). Unlike many other obstetric services, your baby will not be delivered by whomever happens to be on the roster when the time comes. I strive to deliver all my patients and so I schedule leave and conference attendence around due dates of all my booked patients.
